If you have already read my Dermalogica winter skin routine post you will already know who Dermalogica are and a bit about their brand philosophy and beginnings, if not I would recommend you take a look over it. If you have read it there is no need to recap and I can just jump straight into the fun stuff and tell you all about the Dermalogica Pre-cleanse.
Dermalogica Pre-cleanse Oil/Balm
You will notice in the heading I have called this the Deramlogica pre-cleanser balm/oil. This is because Dermalogica spoil us and have created the pre-cleanse in both a balm and an oil consistency. Double Win!!!
The Dermalogica pre-cleanse oil is the Dermalogica product I have been using the most. I have a mini of the balm but let me tell you I live each day afraid for them to run out. That is how good they are! Both cleansers are perfect for a deep cleanse for even the most oily of skin types. It melts through makeup, sebum, SPF and daily grime with ease and is the ultimate first cleanse in any double cleansing routine.
You all know I am a huge fan of a cleansing balm. If you don’t already know, you can read my opinions about the Emma Hardie and the Elemis cleansing balms. But this oil cleanser is a dream and in my opinion the perfect alternative to a balm cleanser. One of the design features I love about this cleanser is that it comes in a pump dispense bottle; Which is perfect given the messy nature of the oil. The oil and the balm both smell the same and its a beautiful citrus one. Reminding me mostly of key lime pie or green starburst sweets. The cleanser is £39.50 for 150ml. but a little goes a long way. Yes it is quite expensive, but in comparison to some of my other favourite cleansers is in a similar price bracket. And 100% worth it in my opinion.
