Clarins BB Detox Fluid SPF25 Review

Clarins BB Detox Fluid SPF25 Review

If you are like me and love a lightweight and light-medium coverage foundation. You want something affordable and wearable which will still show your freckles through? Something you can wear daily and doesn’t give you the look of a full face of makeup. Then this Clarins BB detox fluid might be just what the doctor ordered.

Clarins BB Detox Fluid

This product is as in the name, is a BB cream. A product like this from Clarins is rarely without it’s bonus skin benefits and this one is no different. This gorgeous lightweight formula revives your complexion, whilst hydrating and re-balancing the skin.

The BB detox fluid features meadowsweet which is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to reduce shine. It contains a small amount of Salicylic acid which is known to help blemish prone skin with oil and give gentle exfoliation to the skin and tighten pores. You can find more about acids in skincare here. The formula also includes a key ingredient which is well known for its soothing and hydrating capabilities, aloe vera.

My Opinions

I’ve been using this foundation/BB cream for around 6 months now and I have loved every minute of it. This is my go-to for those days when I want a more natural look but a little bit of coverage. If I want to look more polished with a little more coverage I would be inclined to use the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation instead. The downfall of this product is that it only comes in 4 shades so if you’re at either end of the shade spectrum either really pale or really dark you will struggle to find a shade that matches. I have shade 00 Fair (pictured above).

This formula is very lightweight and feels like nothing on the skin. It is easily applied and blended out, I think it is best applied with either a damp beauty sponge or using your hands. The finish of the product is matte but it doesn’t really “dry-down” so you look glowing and bright. Like I mentioned above this is a more light-medium coverage but as it doesn’t dry down unless you set it with powder it will rub off as you touch your face throughout the day. Generally I just set my under eye area using my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush flawless finish powder and go. The 40ml pump top tube costs just £32 and lasts ages as 1 pump provides enough coverage for a full face.
