The High Street Skin Serum You Need To Try.

The High Street Skin Serum You Need To Try.

In these winter months we all need a hydration boost. Your skin is an organ, the largest and fastest growing organ in (on) our bodies; and like all other bodily organs it needs water to function properly. However as a matter of survival our bodies retain most of the water we drink for the critical organs and our skin gets what is left. You can boost your skin’s hydration levels without breaking the bank now; with this high street skin serum and other hydration boosting products.

Our skin holds our internal organs in, protects us from the elements, cools us when were hot and warms us when were cold. Our skin is a precious part of our bodies we often neglect. You may have heard me previously mention I have dry skin and have suffered with dry skin since I was a small child, so for me hydration is a must!

This is why our skin becomes dehydrated when we drink alcohol or we don’t drink enough water.

Vichy is a high street affordable high street brand which provides luxury quality skincare, they have multiple ranges for different skin types but the one I like the most is the Aqualia Thermal Range

Vichy Lip Balm

This lip balm is colourless and is purely designed for hydrating dry chapped lips.  For only £4 this is the ultimate lip saviour in my book!

Apply after thoroughly cleansing and using toner on the face or use to prime lips while applying your face of makeup and leave until last to gently remove with tissue before applying lipstick.

Aqualia Thermal Eye Awakening Balm

This brightening eye serum is lightweight on the skin, suitable for sensitive skin and applies like a dream around the eye socket.

When applying eye cream or serum you should use your ring finger and pat gently around the eye socket and not pull at the delicate under eye skin as this is a way to damaging the skin and could potentially lead to the premature development of wrinkles.

Aqualia Thermal Re-hydrating Serum

This high street skin serum boasts giving the skin 48 hours of hydration, and although I cannot confirm of deny this claim. I do believe this serum is hydrating and is perfect for everyday hydration. In the winter I usually swap my daily moisturiser for a serum like this one for extra hydration and when my skin needs it.

To apply pump a pea sized amount of serum into the palm of your hand and massage between both hands until warm. You should apply gently all over the face starting at the centre and massaging outwards. If applying to your neck and decolletage then warm up the serum the same as for the face and apply in an upwards direction towards the face to prevent the early onset of wrinkles and help encourage healthy circulation.

For me this is the high street equivalent to the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair.  Find out more about my opinions on the advanced night repair serum here.
