A recent eye cream launch from Lancome made its way swiftly into my skincare collection. The Lancome Advanced Genefique Yeux is currently feeling like the only eye cream I will reach for again. It is a truly beautiful formula and I adore the luxurious and expensive looking packaging which looks fabulous on your vanity too.

About The Lancome Advanced Genefique Yeux
The silky gel-cream formula includes 7 prebiotic and probiotic derived extracts to help balance and fortify the skin. The formula also includes one of my favourite ingredients, hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid plumps and hydrates the skin diminishing the signs of fine lines and wrinkles. Find out more in my post about Hyaluronic acid.
The formula of the Lancome Genefique eye cram also improves barrier function and helps to minimise the appearance of dark circles. After all the eyes are the windows to the soul.
How to Use
You are all certified beauty junkies by now. But in case you are knew here or new to skincare, I will give you some application tips.
Firstly you only need to take a pea sized amount of product onto your ring finger. Too much product can give you puffy eyes. Secondly, gently in sweeping motions around the orbital bone of the eye, massage in the cream taking it up onto the brow bones too. Being careful not to tug at the skin around the eye as it is very delicate and thin.
My Opinions
This gel-cream formula is lightweight and in my opinion, absolutely divine. I am not sure how I got this far into my skincare journey before trying this eye cream. My No.1 eye cream before this was probably the Clinique all about eyes, you can find my review of that here. I do think this eye cream has taken the top place recently just because I feel like it is more hydrating over time, my eye area feels more protected and the glow is real! I love an eye cream that delivers instant results as well as over time. This one does not let you down, it is glowing, hydrating, soothing and I love the luxe black glass packaging. The cost of the Lancome Advanced Genefique Yeux is £46 for 15ml. Making it about £10 more expensive than the Clinique.
