It has taken me a long time to get around to writing this review. However, I have now reached the end of my shampoo, conditioner and hair mask that was kindly gifted from Josh Wood Colour. So I am able to give a full and honest and well informed review of the products sent.
Who Is Josh Wood?
Josh Wood is a Yorkshire based hair colour genius. His hair colour talent is known far and wide and has made him one of the world’s most sought-after hair colourists. His vision, talent and technical ability has allowed him to wow the beauty landscape over three decades and ultimately launching his own colour system in 2018.
What I love about Josh Wood is that he is genuinely passionate about hair and hair colour and understands that every hair colour is different. He has previously likened it to the colouring of your iris. It is in your DNA to be slightly different in everyone and is never to be genetically reproduced. His passion is experimenting with colours and hues helping you achieve your dream hair which will ultimately make you look and feel more confident.
Josh Wood Colour – Shampoo and Conditioner
Josh Wood colour has an extensive range of products which include hair colourants, toners, quick fix concealers and care products.
The care products include the shampoo and conditioner which are specifically designed for coloured hair. Coloured hair can easily lose its colour and fade, lose its shine and become less smooth and shiny over time. I love my hair when it has been freshly coloured because it has so much shine. The hair colour provides a form of conditioning treatment for my hair.
The Josh Wood range is shade specific and provides UV filters because they help protect the colour from fading. Plus the added saffron and tumeric to help keep the hair glossy and vibrant without the fragrant smells. The shampoo and conditioner both smell like a regular shampoo and have a clean and fresh smell. The shampoo isn’t overly foaming and therefore helps you retain your colour for longer.
Everything Mask
The everything mask is as its name suggests, absolutely everything. The hair mask is designed for all colours and all hair types alike. This mask is designed as a weekly hair treatment. It really does leave your hair feeling nourished and soft and super glossy. Even after just one use. So this hair mask is also perfect for locking in your hair colour following colouring. Often inside a hair colour kit you get the little conditioner bottle. But this mask has been so much better for locking in the colour. Ultimately extending the length of time before my colour starts to fade.
