Once a Year Glamour, as in the beauty magazine host an annual beauty festival. It is truly the Mecca for all beauty junkies. They have a number of guest speakers hosting talks from celebrities to industry experts and influencers. You will also find a huge number of brands in attendance including some of your favourites and some that may be new to you. There were some that were certainly new to me.
The Beauty Festival
As mentioned above the Glamour beauty festival is an annual event hosted by Glamour Magazine and Boots. They team up year upon year to bring some big name brands from across makeup, skincare, hair care and more.
This year the festival was hosted in Manchester, in previous years it has been held in London. So as it was a little closer this time; the girls and I got together took the opportunity for a glam and girly day out. The tickets were roughly £40 (I can’t actually remember) as we got them at the early bird rates. Being a member of the glamour beauty club we got an additional £5 off too. For your money you get to go to one talk and access to all of the mini treatments and freebies. Plus the main reason for attending, the goody bag!

Beauty Treatments
Throughout the day there are opportunities to try out different products, brands and experience beauty treatments. We had tickets for a half day and due to the size of the queues you couldn’t do it all. So we had to be selective. We attended fresh faced without makeup and skincare so we could take full advantage of the treatments available.
Firstly, we had a facial at Pixi, I chose the vitamin C facial. I love the benefits of vitamin C. If you would like to know more about Vitamin C you can read my post here. The facial was gorgeous and left my skin glowing. You can watch the video over on my Instagram.
Secondly, we moved onto the Amika counter. Amika is a brand I had heard of but had no experience using. They styled our hair gorgeously, they put my hair into glamourous beachy waves. I love curls in my hair, this is how I usually achieve my curls.
The rest of the day included getting colour matched on the Estee Lauder double wear foundation, and the ELF concealer. We played on the beauty grabber and won a mini mascara. I also managed to get a photo with the huge scale makeup artist and influencer MMMMitchell.
The Goody Bag
The goody bag has got to be the highlight of the event, boasting a value of over £300. The sad part about it was that at last minute the goody bags were reduced without being informed. A lot of the products which were supposed to be included were not. Having said that, the goody bag was over the cost of the ticket and overall great value. Especially if you love a makeup primer as there were 4 included.
