For transparency, I have been sent some Femfresh Feminine Hygiene products for free to try out. There is no obligation for me to post. However I thought I would like to share with you the importance of using specific feminine hygiene products. Plus these Femfresh Feminine hygiene products were lovely to use so I thought I would share my opinions too.
Why Use Specific Feminine Hygiene Products?
Feminine hygiene products as specifically designed to help maintain the natural pH of the vulva. the natural pH levels of your vulva is between 3.5 – 4.7. Disturbing this pH could lead to itching, burning sensations or a change in odour which is not only uncomfortable but can be embarrassing.
Many natural scenarios can also change the pH of your vulva including sex, your period, ovulation. Even things you may not have considered such as, changing your laundry detergents can affect your pH.
Targeted feminine hygiene products are designed for your delicate areas, not only to help maintain this balance but will allow you to cleanse those areas without irritation. However, anyone can use a feminine wash. However if you choose not to use Feminine Hygiene products, that is completely fine too. Warm water alone will clean the area, but keep those heavily fragrances and soapy washes for the rest of your body.
Femfresh Feminine Hygiene
I was sent 3 products from Femfresh Feminine Hygiene to try, personally I had already been using a femfresh wash but I had not tried any of their other products. Femfresh create a whole range of products from washes, to wipes and deodorants.
Femfresh 0% Sensitive Wash
There are plenty of irritating washes out there, but this 0% sensitive wash has been designed so that you won’t be irritated. The wash is free from fragrance, colour and soap. It is made from 94% natural origin ingredients and is specifically formulated so that it is pH and microbiome balanced.
This wash is only £2.75 and is 100% worth the money if you want no irritation and to keep BV away.
0% Sensitive Wipes
I am not a fan of a wipe generally, because of the amount of waste that is generated. Having said that, they provide sensitive freshness when you don’t have access to water. I.e. on flights and at festivals. The added bonus with these wipes is that they are biodegradable and also flushable making them extra convenient. Again they are fragrance and soap free and pH balanced.
The wipes are just £2.75 too. Again for convenience on-the-go they’re perfect.
