I know that in the festive period I love to switch up my usual go-to lipstick shades to something more seasonal. I know that you, beauty lover, also love to do the same. I must admit I usually love a soft pink or nude lipstick. Personally feel like a red or dark coloured lipstick is a bold choice. My favourites are the Nars Afterglow Lip balm in shade Turbo; and the 2022 tiktok star, clinique almost lipstick in shade black honey. They are both beautiful hydrating and comfortable lip balms with stunning but subtle colour pay off perfect for day-to-night looks. I have the afterglow balms in many shades, they are so wearable with any makeup look and perfect for in your handbag. Plus the stunning mirrored packaging makes them a beautiful gift too. The Clinique almost lipstick is in a more sophisticated and sleek packaging making it perfect for your mum or any beauty lover you know.
Best Festive Lipsticks
The part you came here for. As much as I do love a tinted balm because of their versatility, nothing quite beats the colour pay off of a lipstick. I love how much glamour a lipstick adds to a look and when you’re putting together your Christmas party, Christmas day or NYE outfit a festive lipstick is a must.
I have at least 4 of the Pat McGrath MatteTrance lipsticks and 2 of the Charlotte Tilbury Matte revolution lipsticks in my collection. Other than the beautiful and luxurious packaging, there are many selling points to these lipsticks. One being despite being matte finish, they wear comfortably on the lip all day.
Another pair of lipsticks that I love are the Clinique Pop Lipsticks which I bought a few of about 4 years ago and still use and love now. They are pigmented with a built in primer and this berry tone can be used all year round especially in autumn or great for darker skin tones. The Revolution satin kiss is a perfect dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Matte revolution lipstick (above) and in shade Chauffeur it is the ultimate dupe for pillow talk and for just £5 you cant go wrong. It’s also the perfect stocking filler.

I have got to end this post on the lip gloss, not only because everyone loves a glossy lip, but it can also transform the best festive lipstick into the perfect gloss. Lip glosses are back in style, adding dazzle to a glamorous look or creating a more plumped pout even with a no-makeup makeup look.
The Fenty beauty gloss bomb is a beautiful sparkling gloss that can be worn alone or enhance the most stunning of colours with its subtle pink hue and without any stickiness. The Plouise Stay Shining Crown Lip oil, the clue is in the name. Although this isn’t a traditional gloss it provides a beautiful glossy sheen to the lips worn alone or on top of a colour. These lip oils also come in a collection of cute scents including, gingerbread, cookie and candy cane all perfect for Christmas time.
