Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate

Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate

So if you have been following me on instagram, or you have been reading my blog for the last few months you will have most certainly heard me mention this product. The Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate has been my no.1 serum for quite some time. Not only that but it is also Shiseido’s no1 selling serum too, and all for good reason.

What the Shiseido Ultimunte Power Infusing Concentrate Claims to do for You.

Enhanced with Imugeneration technology, this Shiseido serum is bursting with natural antioxidants from reishi mushroom and iris root. Together they are designed to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier, improve the firmness and defend against damage. The antioxidant rich formula will help protect against everyday oxidants such as pollution, ageing and UV damage. This is not to say you can skip your daily SPF this is still 100% necessary.

Non-surprisingly though, the Shiseido ultimune power infusing concentrate also contains the Ultimune Complex(TM). This is a shiseido developed complex which is designed to protect from damage whilst maintaining a healthy skin surface.

My Opinions

Like aforementioned, this is one of my current favourites and it takes quite a lot to reach that top spot. This serum is really hydrating, lightweight on the skin and applies easily. I usually apply two pumps of serum daily in my morning skincare routine. It feels instantly hydrating and delivers ‘glowing from within’ skin, it does leave the skin with a more matte finish once soaked. The Shiseido Ultimune cleverly contains an ingredient which is a penetration enhancer.

The design of the penetration enhancer is that the serum can reach lower levels of the skin’s surface protecting from deeper within the skin layers. The enhancer also assists the products in the rest of your skin routine to penetrate the skin deeper too. Thus meaning those oils and moisturisers you have spent your hard earned cash on can get to work.

The Bottom Line

Ultimately, I find this serum lightweight and effective. I find it pleasant to use, it does contain a small amount of fragrance which I have had no problems with but may be worth noting if you have sensitive skin. It is moderately expensive with its £60 price tag for a 30ml but you can regularly find it in 15ml at John Lewis for just £32. But keep your eyes peeled as it is regularly on offer at johnlewis or lookfantastic. I definitely think it is worth the money and as I previously mentioned if you are going to spend your money on any single part of your skincare routine the serum is key. Compared to other serums on the market, this one really delivers for the money too.
