Dermalogica Age Bright Clearing Serum
This active two-in-one serum is the dream for anyone trying to fight the signs of ageing while also helping prevent breakouts. This is probably everyone over the age of 25; anyone who gets breakouts around their time of the month (like me) or even if you’re not over 25 and you’re not specifically targeting the signs of ageing yet, this serum is still great for you too.
This serum is highly concentrated and exfoliates the skin with the help of our good friend salicylic acid. The AGE BrightTM complex works with your natural skin barrier to achieve brighter and more clear skin. You will also be glad to hear that the serum contains the hydration hero Niacinamide, working together with Shiitake mushroom to provide a more even skin tone.
How to Use the Age Bright Serum
The serum is gentle but effective. The serum can be used twice daily on clean dry skin. I recommend cleansing in the morning with the foaming special cleansing gel and double cleansing at night with both the Dermalogica Pre-cleanse which is my favourite Dermalogica Product and following with the special cleansing gel.
Once your skin is clean and dry, apply a thin layer all over the face and follow with your favourite moisturiser both morning and night.
My Review and Personal Opinions
Personally as I mentioned above, I only suffer from oily skin in my T-zone. Typically I see the majority of my breakouts one week a month. For me, this is a product I would use 3-4 times per week for 2 of the 4 weeks in a month. The Dermalogica Age Bright Clearing Serum definitely delivers results. My skin looks and feels clearer and brighter when I use it. I always notice is stops the blemishes coming to a head provided I start using the serum when the first signs of the breakout appear.
This serum is lightweight and dries quickly and without leaving a sticky residue. What I love about this product is that almost everyone can use it and it delivers an instant glow. The serum doesn’t have a scent per-se but the science is there! The packaging is divine, it comes in a glass bottle which feels very luxe and has a glass pipette dispense which is perfect for keeping bacteria out of your products.
I would definitely re-purchase however a little goes a long way and I am still on my first bottle. The Serum is £65 and well worth the money.
