Clinique x Bobbi Brown - Let it Glow

I have always been a fan of Clinique products since I was about 18. I was introduced to them by a friend’s mum and the rest is history as they say.

Those of you that have known me for a long time will already know this, but for those of you that don’t; I’ve struggled with my skin condition all of my life. I have eczema and even as an adult have been suffering from it’s effects. You’re probably thinking that eczema isn’t even that bad but let me tell you you’re sadly mistaken it is sore, dry, itchy and can become cracked during the winter months so when I reached 18 I knew it was time to take steps to try and improve my skin condition and I have Clinique to thank for that.

Bobbi Brown is a well known beauty brand also one of the Estee Lauder Companies, with fantastic quality beauty products, however I have never had the opportunity to try any of them out, until now.

The Event – Clinique

Clinique and Bobbi Brown did their first ever collaboration blogger event in John Lewis Sheffield and I was fortunate enough to be invited.

The experts from the Clinique counter showed us on a model, how to effectively remove makeup whilst keeping your skin in the best condition possible.

Some of the products used were; take the day off cleansing balm, Fresh pressed renewing cleanser with added vitamin C and the Clarifying Lotion. These products can be chosen specifically for your skin type. Following this, the Fresh pressed daily booster with added vitamin C was mixed into the moisturiser, which you can also choose for your skin type or personal preference.

Taking all these steps means the skin is appropriately cleansed and prepped ready for makeup application.

The Event – Bobbi Brown

So the Bobbi Brown ladies then stepped in to show us how to create the ultimate party ready makeup look.

Some of the products used were; Primer plus mattifier which I have to admit instantly mattified the skin. skin long-wear weightless foundation SPF15, extra illuminating balm in pink glow. Also the Highlight and glow Duo Palette was used, which has packaging to die for.

I had to purchase this it was so pretty. You can check it out on my instagram. The ladies completed the eyes with a John Lewis Exclusive eye shadow palette called, Night Drama. The lashes can then be coated in the smokey eye mascara because they kindly gifted us a sample to try out. Trust me, it gives you fabulously long lashes in an instant.
