Can money really buy you happiness? Fountain’s the happy molecule

If you are a fan of all things health and beauty, you have probably heard of the DECIEM brand (The abnormal beauty company). They are the owners of a portfolio of companies, including ‘the ordinary’. This is the brand with the revolutionary foundation which is claimed to be equally as good as some high end foundations just with a high street price tag.

DECIEM own many companies, one of which is called Fountain

Fountain specialises in health and beauty supplements. The company employ specialists which have conducted tests and thoroughly done their research.  Using this they have developed a collection of supplements which are designed to maintain your youth, boost your health. In addition to boosting your mental capacity.

The Product

Fountain’s the happy molecule claims to help boost your mood. It even states that it has the capability to “counteract the effects of chronic and short-term stress.

Having read exactly that I thought I would give it a try. Priced at £20 for 240ml I thought it would be worth a shot.

The Ingredients

The two main ingredients within the product. The ones which claim to give the health benefits are: GABA Carrot CX and hyaluronic acid. Were going to go back to school here when I can remind you how your body works and why these supplements are beneficial.

we have trillions of nerve cells in our bodies.  Passing impulses and allowing us to respond to our ever changing environment. A neurotransmitter is something that helps impulses pass along.

GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) – GABA is a neurotransmitter. This is known for being an inhibitory neurotransmitter. Preventing production of a new impulse

In other words it is assumed that GABA inhibits the transmission of impulses in the brain which allow us to feel stress or anxiety.

Hyalouronic acid – helps retain water within our bodily cells in addition to helping regulate moisture preservation and nutrient delivery to cells.

Enough of the Chemistry, What’s my conclusion?

Well at a cost of only £20 I still stand by what I said, its worth a try if stress and anxiety are problems your suffer from.

However for me I am unsure it does make you any happier but I’m not sure it lifts your mood either. That said, I do think it forces you to take a quick break from your work to take the supplement and have a drink. Taking a time out often picks up your mood.

The flavour is pineapple. It tastes like that fake pineapple flavour. Think pineapple cubes (those sweets you had as a child). For me it is a strong flavour and is best had mixed with squash.
