The secret to a fantastic makeup look is using the right tools. You wouldn’t see a plumber without his tools so why would you? Here are some of my favourite makeup brush sets and makeup tools to take your makeup techniques to the next level.
These brush sets are all makeup brush sets that are in my stash, except the beauty bay set. I will talk more about these below but they’re and absolute steal in my opinion.
SIXPLUS 15 Piece Makeup Brush Set
I thought I would start with the most affordable set, I was kindly gifted this brush set in exchange for a review on their site (which is of course fully disclosed). This set is available in two colour ways, the one I have is the pink and rose gold. This set is really lovely, the bristles are soft and come with netting to help reshape the brushes after washing. They come in a magnetic close box which can double up as a brush stand/display. I love the multipurpose use for the box. It is great for at home and great for travel too. I think these would make a really fab gift. The set retails at £29.99 which I think is great value.
Girls With Attitude Flamingal Collection
If you have been a follower of me, my blog or my social channels for any length of time you will know that I regularly praise the quality from this brand.
This makeup brush kit was my first full brush set, my boyfriend bought it for me for Christmas last year, ever since these have been my go-to brushes. I use these brushes every time I do my makeup. The brushes have a nicely tapered and weighted handle perfect for use. These brushes are cleaned easily, they have great quality soft bristles. The brushes are also super pretty. They have a metallic pink handle with pink and blue ombre bristles. They come with a metallic two-tone brush bag too. There are 7 face brushes and 10 eye brushes in the set. This set retails at £69.99 but it is worth every penny!

Iconic London – Face Set Cream and Gold
The iconic London complete face set includes 9 brushes. They’re all for the face and no eye brushes. However one is a large fluffy brush which could be used for your eyes. Personally I think these great quality plus they look beautiful.
The brushes are good quality, they feel well made. They don’t have a lot of weight to them but the bristles are good quality. The bristles take a lot of cleaning but worth it because they’re lovely. Currently they have a discount on but full price they’re £60 for 9 brushes. A bit expensive but they are nice for the aesthetic.
Beauty Bay – Rose Gold Glam makeup brushes
Beauty Bay have their own makeup line which is such great quality and mega affordable. Unfortunately I have not tried their makeup brushes but if theyre only half as good as the makeup then they will be fabulous.
Beauty bay are well up to date on what is “grammable” and these brushes are stunning black and rose gold and come in a zip up brush case which can also be used as a brush stand. The collection has 18 brushes both face and eye. The glamorous brush set is only £39.
